New Year, New You?

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope your trip around the sun was more hopeful than the ones before. There’s something to be said about the concept of New Year resolutions. The idea of having a nice clean starting point for your goals and dreams can be useful. But with the rate of people dropping resolutions in the first few months – there is also something awful about waiting a whole ‘nother year to start again.

I want to remind each and every one of you that even if you hit a roadblock in your goals, lose progress on your resolutions, or even just have no idea of what you could do with yourself to make progress –

You can start over any day of the year. You can try again, with a different approach or by making slight changes to your goals.

Don’t let the obstacles you run into while pursuing your goals become deterrents from finding ways to improve yourself and your life. Don’t wait to begin making the changes you know you need to make. Even if they are difficult changes.

Tips to Maintain your Goals Long-term

Break your goals down into manageable steps. This helps you not feel like there is as much pressure to get it all done at once. Remember to take your goals one day at a time. It might be something that the anonymous groups figured out first – but that phrase is helpful for just about everyone if I’m being honest.
